Southern Boating

In April of 2005, Southern Boating selected the Cordpro as part of its New Gear Showcase. Southern Boating is the south’s largest boating magazine.

They did a great job of saying exactly why every boat needs a Cordpro or two, not only to keep organized but to save you from the bouts of aggravation that come with tangled cords, cables and hoses.

“Like an umbilical cord to the conveniences we’re used to on land, shore power cords and other various extension cords we carry on board help us get the most out of our time afloat. The flip side is that these vital cords can become aggravating when they become tangled and dirty. The Cordpro keeps cords neat and organized; it allows the user to unreel only as much cord as is needed. The donut-shaped holder stores easily without the snagging associated with open-ended cord organizers. It is also available for air hoses and drinking water hoses. ”

Cordpro was reviewed on the tool blog Cool Tools. I think their description of their website sums up exactly what makes this blog one of the best on the net for tool reviews:

The Pocketwrench is one of those tools that has a ton of really useful functions yet the tool itself is so small that you can’t really get a feel for what all it does by just looking at it. So we made this short introductory video for you. The Pocketwrench was invented by Don Burke, Founder of Burktek. Many people have tried to improve it over the years, but there is only one Original Pocketwrench. Fits ‘em all and fits in your pocket

This is a first in a series of posts that will highlight all the press that Burktek, Inc has received in the past on their products. Our goal is to show you not only that other people love our products, but that the Cordpro and Pocketwrench are tried and true products that have been around, and will continue to be around for a long time to come.

The Family Handyman March 2005 issue featured the Cordpro. I love how they call the Cordpro “ridiculously simple”. They are right, it is simple. Simple to use, simple to load, and simple to store. Although you won’t find this article or issue listed on their website you should still check them out at www.familyhandyman.com. They have plenty of ideas for DIY projects and home repair. All of which I’m sure you can find a reason to use a Cordpro or a Pocketwrench on!

2005 Sailing Channel Coverage

This video was made by the thesailingchannel.com about the Cordpro and Cordpro XL at the 2005 United States Sailboat Show. They and many other mariners use the Cordpro (What we call the CP100) and the Cordpro XL on-board ship to help organize and store their cables and cords. Joe Duley does a wonderful job interviewing one of our factory reps.

If you’re a mariner make sure to check out other shows on the sailing channel. If you’re going to the United States Sailboat Show in October, make sure to stop by our exhibit and see all Burktek, Inc products in person!

This is a video response to some online reviews and forums about our product appearing flimsy. The Cordpro line of products is anything but flimsy. Compared to other cord or cable reels, the Cordpro is one of the most durable. Watch the video and see for yourself!

HGTV RV 2010 Top 10 Products!
